You can find out what sound card your computer's using, by doing the following:


  • You can try looking at your system information.
    • Windows XP
      • Method 1
        • Start button.
        • Click "Run".
        • Type in "dxdiag" and click "ok".
    • Windows Vista
      • Method 1
        • Click the Start button.
        • Type in "dxdiag" and press enter.


  • You shouldn't need to worry about the sound card being DirectX compatible, as most sound cards are.
